Our Story

Why we do what we do.

True matcha begins in China-the origin of the leaf itself. What we do is simple: reclaim a neglected source and make it contemporary, clean, and credible.

A decade ago, driven by a passion for matcha, our founder walked into the high-altitude tea gardens of Zhejiang, China. There, the older generation still practiced covered cultivation, spring harvesting, steaming, and slow stone-grinding. It felt less like a factory and more like a workshop. Yet even then, fewer young people were joining the fields, and many gardens were shifting toward faster, cheaper production. We chose the opposite path: to slow down and root ourselves in the soil.

"Rooted in the soil. Guided by balance." This is our promise and our daily standard.

Soil: We use organic methods to nurture the soil and climate, allowing the leaf to develop its own depth and natural sweetness-without rushing the process.

Balance: We would rather control our yield than compromise on shading, harvest windows, or grinding temperature. What we pursue is that Eastern sense of clarity and steadiness-energizing yet calm. This is the art of matcha's balance.

From the very first small-batch trials, our goal was clear: produce traceable, premium Chinese matcha. From the exact coordinates of the garden and harvest batches to pesticide and heavy metal testing; from stone-mill fineness to nitrogen flushing and cold-chain logistics-every step is strictly controlled. Today, Balance Master continues to grow, yet we hold fast to our craft. While tending our gardens and grinders, we bring Chinese matcha into daily life for those who care about what they consume. We know that a truly good cup of tea is built on respect: for the land, for the farmers, and for the health of those who drink it.
